Shishumangal:: Serving since 1932
A well-known landmark in the metropolis & humming with multifaced health-care and health-education activities as we see it today, this Pratishthan originally known as Shishumangal Pratishthan, had a very humble beginning in a rented house as a maternity-cum-child welfare centre in July 1932.

General Hospital wing has 600 beds
The General Hospital wing has 600 beds distributed in all major disciplines and also some super specialities. It has 11 air-conditioned operation theatres, 24-hour functioning Laboratories, Radiology Dept.

School of Nursing is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council
The School of Nursing is recognized by the West Bengal Nursing Council and the Indian Nursing Council for the 3½-year General Nursing & Midwifery course.
