An Appeal for Financial Assistance

  • 600-bed General Hospital serving nearly 4 lac patients annually including a General Emergency Department functioning round the clock,
  • A Community Health Service Programme serving 40 remote villages,
  • Vivekananda Institute of Medical Sciences for research purposes.

Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan started its journey way back in early thirties as a small maternity & child care centre. Gradually it turned into a general hospital with 600-beds, keeping its charitable status fully intact with which it was started. We tend to provide quality medical services to the poor at an affordable cost & sometimes with no cost at all with the motto of “Service to Man is Service to God.” During the Centenary Year of Swami Vivekananda’s Birth Anniversary in 1963, Vivekananda Institute of Medical Sciences (V.I.M.S.), the Postgraduate Medical Education and Research wing of this Pratishthan came into being.  This largest Non-Govt. General Hospital is not only entirely devoted to advanced research works but also engaged in postgraduate teaching in medicine, the benefit of which ultimately percolates to the marginalized section of the society. Apart from this, we also have a Hospital & Community Health Service (Mobile Unit) and a General Emergency Department, which is also extending treatment to the patients completely free of cost. While undertaking such a gamut of activities in various fields of research and in maintenance of its infrastructure, we have to incur a huge expenditure, which sometimes goes beyond our means, resulting in a deficit budget every year. Ours being a purely charitable institution with no commercial intent, we fervently need financial assistance from all corners of society to run the activities and to achieve the motto  for the salvation of our individual self and for the well-being of all.”
We sincerely appeal to you to kindly consider making a donation for the Permanent Fund of this Pratishthan and to enable us to continue to serve the suffering and economically weaker section of the society to the best of our ability. We certainly hope that your generous assistance and financial help will be a source of inspiration to us.
