An Appeal for Financial Assistance

  • 626-bed General Hospital with an Einergency Department functioning round the clock serving nearly 4 lakh patients annually,
  • A Community Health Service Programme serving some 40 remote villages,
  • Vivekananda Institute of Medical Sciences for research purposes.

Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan started its journey way back in early thirties as a small maternity & child care centre. Over the years it has developed into a general hospital of charitable character with 626-beds. We provide quality medical services at heavily subsidized rates in general and complete or partial free treatment to the needy and deserving with the motto of “Service to Man is Service to God.”

We have a Community Health Service (Mobile Unit) and a General Emergency Department, which are extending treatment to the poor villagers and those attending Emergency Department respectively completely free of cost.

During the Centenary Year of Swami Vivekananda's Birth Anniversary in 1963, Vivekananda Institute of Medical Sciences, the Postgraduate Medical Education and Research wing of this Pratishthan came into being. This institute is devoted to advanced medical research works besides postgraduate teaching in medicine, the benefit of which ultimately percolates to the marginalized section of the society.

We hope you will appreciate that running of such kind of service activities involves huge expenditure and it will not be possible to keep this hospital running smoothly unless we get adequate financial support from pious-hearted and generous persons and organizations like you.

May we now appeal to you kindly to consider making a donation for the Permanent Fund of this Pratishthan :-
For maintenance of its hospital & community health services to enable us to continue to serve the suffering and economically weaker section of the society as far as possible. Your generous assistance will be a source of inspiration to us. All donations for these purposes are exempt from Income Tax u/s 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Cheques/Demand Drafts may kindly be drawn in favour of “Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan” payable at Kolkata.

A charitable institution depends on the active help of the Government and the public for its support and growth. We, therefore, appeal to the Central and State Governments and the generous public to kindly help us with adequate grants and donations. Those who desire to perpetuate the loving memory of their near and dear ones may do so by donating for any of the following purposes :

1. Endowment for maintaining a bed :
A memorial tablet is fixed against the bed. Rs. 20.00 lakh
2. Endowment for half-maintenance of a bed :
A memorial tablet is fixed against the bed. Rs. 15.00 lakh
3. Endowment for part-maintenance of an Outdoor Clinic :
A memorial tablet is fixed on clinic wall. Rs. 10.00 lakh

Donations to the Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan are exempted from Income Tax under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act of 1961. All contributions, big or small, will be thankfully accepted and acknowledged by the Secretary. Cheques/Drafts/M.Os. may kindly be drawn favouring :-
