Celebrated 95th Foundation Day
The 95th Foundation Day Celebration of Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan and the 69th Capping Ceremony of Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan School of Nursing and the 22nd Capping Ceremony of Ma Sarada College of Nursing were held on 24th July, 2026 (Friday) at 12:00 noon in Dayananda Hall of the Pratishthan.
Srimat Swami Vamananandaji Maharaj, Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna Math, Baranagar, was the Chief Guest.
Smt. Doli Biswas, recipient of the National Florence Nightingale Award 2025 and many other awards, was the Guest of Honour.
Shri Debasish Sen, IAS (Retd.), Member, Managing Committee of this Pratishthan, presided over the function.
Prof. Sanjoy Mohan Bhattacharjee, Principal, Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan Vivekananda Institute of Medical Sciences, and Prof. Sajal Datta, Medical Superintendent-cum-Vice Principal, were also on the dais.
The Annual Prize Distribution of the School of Nursing and Ma Sarada College of Nursing was held on this auspicious occasion.
The Capping Ceremony of both the Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan School of Nursing and the Ma Sarada College of Nursing was also held on this occasion. 40 G.N.M. students and 34 B.Sc. Nursing students were presented with the Nursing Cap and took the vows of lifelong dedicated service to the sick.
The programme was attended by nearly 350 persons, including monks of the Pratishthan, distinguished guests, doctors, nurses, PGT & PDT trainees, nursing students, allied and healthcare service students, and other healthcare providers. Packet prasad was served after the programme.
"Maa Annapurna Bhandar" was inaugurated on 23rd March, 2026
We are happy to inform that the newly refurbished Induction-Based Community Kitchen, named "Maa Annapurna Bhandar" was inaugurated on 23rd March, 2026 at 12-00 noon in our Pratishthan.
Most Revered Srimat Swami Divyanandaji Maharaj, Vice President, Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, in presence of Srimat Swami Bodhasaranandaji Maharaj, Assistant General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, inaugurated the Kitchen Department.
Sri Ajay Sancheti, former Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, Sri Sanjiv Kumar Singh, Chairman & Managing Director, Hindustan Copper Limited and some other members from Sancheti Foundation, who provided financial assistance for the whole project, attended the programme.
The newly refurbished Kitchen Department, has been equipped with modern energy-efficient induction-based technology and is totally pollution-free. Previously, this kitchen was in the use of traditional LPG-based system along with Diesel/Kerosene oven and furnace with coal-cake made with coal-dust.
Celebration of National Youth Day
This year Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan organized the celebration of National Youth Day (Birthday of Swami Vivekananda) on 12th January, 2026 (Monday) at Dayananda Hall of this Pratishthan in its usual manner. Srimat Swami Purnajnanandaji Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Baranagar was the Chief Guest. Prof. Sabujkoli Sen, Principal, School of Language, Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, was the guest of Honour. Prof. (Dr.) Atul Kumar Gupta, Principal, RKMSP-VIMS & Prof. (Dr.) Sanjoy Mohan Bhattacharjee, Medical Superintendent-cum-Vice Principal, RKMSP were also on the dais.
Nearly 400 persons which includes a good number of students of our various courses and also guests, donors, doctors, nurses and all other categories of staff members attended the programme. The participants presented songs, recitations, speeches, musical performances, dance & drama etc. and as per your instruction, we have screened a documentary titled “A Life of Purpose” on Swami Vivekananda produced by Vivekananda Youth Forum, Mumbai. The programme started at 12-00 noon and continued upto 5-00 p.m. Packet Prasada was served after the programme.
