"Maa Annapurna Bhandar" was inaugurated on 23rd March, 2026
We are happy to inform that the newly refurbished Induction-Based Community Kitchen, named "Maa Annapurna Bhandar" was inaugurated on 23rd March, 2026 at 12-00 noon in our Pratishthan.
Most Revered Srimat Swami Divyanandaji Maharaj, Vice President, Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, in presence of Srimat Swami Bodhasaranandaji Maharaj, Assistant General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, inaugurated the Kitchen Department.
Sri Ajay Sancheti, former Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, Sri Sanjiv Kumar Singh, Chairman & Managing Director, Hindustan Copper Limited and some other members from Sancheti Foundation, who provided financial assistance for the whole project, attended the programme.
The newly refurbished Kitchen Department, has been equipped with modern energy-efficient induction-based technology and is totally pollution-free. Previously, this kitchen was in the use of traditional LPG-based system along with Diesel/Kerosene oven and furnace with coal-cake made with coal-dust.
Celebration of National Youth Day
This year Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan organized the celebration of National Youth Day (Birthday of Swami Vivekananda) on 12th January, 2026 (Monday) at Dayananda Hall of this Pratishthan in its usual manner. Srimat Swami Purnajnanandaji Maharaj, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Baranagar was the Chief Guest. Prof. Sabujkoli Sen, Principal, School of Language, Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, was the guest of Honour. Prof. (Dr.) Atul Kumar Gupta, Principal, RKMSP-VIMS & Prof. (Dr.) Sanjoy Mohan Bhattacharjee, Medical Superintendent-cum-Vice Principal, RKMSP were also on the dais.
Nearly 400 persons which includes a good number of students of our various courses and also guests, donors, doctors, nurses and all other categories of staff members attended the programme. The participants presented songs, recitations, speeches, musical performances, dance & drama etc. and as per your instruction, we have screened a documentary titled “A Life of Purpose” on Swami Vivekananda produced by Vivekananda Youth Forum, Mumbai. The programme started at 12-00 noon and continued upto 5-00 p.m. Packet Prasada was served after the programme.
